About

Tanner Harrison

My name is Tanner Harrison — born and raised in the Pacific Northwest, currently based in the Seattle/Tacoma area.

I’ve spent nearly 20 years behind lighting consoles, designing and programming for live events across the Puget Sound and beyond. What started as a creative passion running production at my church has grown into a career that spans concerts, theater, corporate events, festivals, and houses of worship.

How I Work

Every event is different, and that’s what I love about this work. A rock show at a 300-cap club needs a completely different approach than a Christmas Eve service for 3,000 people. I start every project by understanding the story you’re trying to tell, then build a lighting design that serves that story — whether it’s high-energy and reactive or subtle and atmospheric.

I’m hands-on from concept through execution. I design the rig, program the console, and operate the show. For larger productions, I work with trusted local crew to scale up without sacrificing quality.

Beyond Lighting

When I’m not behind a console, I work as an Enterprise Security Engineer at Fortinet, specializing in cybersecurity architecture across the Pacific Northwest. I also run Harrison Ventures, a family holding company that includes NW Lighting and several other ventures.

I’m an advocate for neurodivergent professionals in technical and creative fields. My ADHD is as much a part of how I work as the consoles I program on — it drives the hyperfocus that makes complex programming sessions possible.
